Hey Reader,

Last week Stoodmuffin and I were at ContainR next to Sunnyside Station as vendors for A Summer Queer Market, a fundraising event for Walls Down Collective, a grassroots organization that helps people in need. We had a lot of fun and Stoodmuffin saw a lot of familiar faces. I could barely leave my table; it was very busy all day!

Next week Stoodmuffin and I will be vendors at the YYC Pop-up Pride Market at the Bridgeland Riverside Community Park:

My friend Twisted Stitches will also be a vendor there!

Here's our little Ace Dino:

Now before we go to our next market event, our next Sticker Raffle date is Aug 25! [SPOILER: It will be another Kelsea and Andrea design]

My Instagram handle is @achiru.et.al and my Twitter handle is @Achiruetal

In related news, our Draw This in Your Style Challenge is still open:

There is still a month's time left to enter!

Here's my event lineup for September:

Oh wait, what else is new?

I'm done editing the first set of hardcopy proofs and am just about ready to sign off on the next set of proofs. We are one and a half months away from our Kickstarter launch! We have 82 followers on our pre-launch page now!

As for my partner Matt (@mattdrawberry), he's doing ok. I'm not sure when we will be launching the online sale of the remaining issues of Quest for Hire chapters 1-3, but rest assured that he's still thumbnailing new chapters, our flatter James (@pant00z) is moving onto chapter 6 and I'll be polishing the next three chapters 4-6 this fall/winter. Matt has one more market lined up for Dec, so it's likely that we will aim for a mid December launch for those of you outside Alberta looking to get copies! Thanks so much for your patience!

Wishing you a great autumn season!

Cheers,

Achiru

Reader Hello again! Panel one left 5th year thank you cards in their care packages for all vendors, but Achiru has photo evidence to prove they've actually had 6 events in total. We suppose they didn't count the first one since they weren't fully registered as an association at that time yet. The Myth of Eros and Psyche was still in the process of being printed at this time. Achiru had a demo copy, double-sided postcards, bookmarks and mousepads. The mousepads were popular at this time. The...

Reader The first day was slow, but the second day was amazing (despite the wildfire smoke outside)! Look how fun the building looks!!! One of my dreams as a kid was to set up some kind of art gallery show with my comic UNSPOKEN; the pages printed and put on a wall shaped as a maze and you could walk through the labyrinth and read the comic at the same time. Tabling at the Art Gallery of Alberta is kind of the closest I've ever gotten to having my "art" in a real gallery!!! I wish I had my...
